In-house Training - WHMIS

This Course is designed to be delivered In-house in a classroom setting. WHMIS training is required for all employees who are exposed or have the potential to be exposed to controlled products in the workplace.  The AHSA’s WHMIS course provides the basic training for all employees.  Additional product-specific training will be required for the products each employee uses.

  • BOOKLET:   The booklet covers the same content as the video, with more detail about the classifications of products, and is a handy reference tool for the symbols.
  • EXAM:   Participants must successfully complete a written exam to receive a certificate of completion for the WHMIS course.The exam is scored and the certificate issued by the AHSA.     Certificate status must be renewed every three years by reviewing the materials and writing an exam.
  • FACILITATOR GUIDE:   A Facilitator Guide is included with the CD package to assist managers/trainers use the CD as a training tool for staff.

FACILITATOR PACKAGE: Includes a Facilitator Guide and CD with PowerPoint and video-clips. A laptop and projector will be required. The PowerPoint format will help facilitators consistently provide a comprehensive, professional presentation. The video-clips are now embedded in the presentation for your convenience. Pre-requisite: online WHMIS course.

PARTICIPANT PACKAGE: Each participant will receive a reference booklet and exam. The exam scoring and certificate will be issued by the AHSA. The certificate is valid for 3 years

Member Rate:
$109.25 for the Facilitator Training package (video and Facilitator Guide)
$9.50 per participant (handbook and exam)

Non-Member Rate: $517.50 for the Facilitator Training package + $45.00 per participant
