Alberta Hospitality Safety Association (AHSA) has been designated to deliver Joint Worksite Health and Safety Committee and Health and Safety Representative Part 2 – training pursuant to s.29(1) and (2) of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act.
In order to meet required OHS legislation, every employer in Alberta must ensure their Health & Safety Committee co-chairs/representatives take the MANDATORY Part 2: Worksite Health and Safety Committee / Representative Training through a designated training Agency.

The legislation can be purchased from the Queen’s Printer directly at http://www.qp.alberta.ca/ . The handbook is $32.95 plus GST.
Members and Associate Members can purchase books through the AHSA for $27.50 plus GST. Email Erica directly with the property name and how many books. Books cannot be shipped and must be picked up at the AHSA offices.
Changes to the Occupational Health and Safety Code were announced that prohibits Alberta employers from requiring workers to wear high heels. The change takes effect Jan. 1, 2019.
